At the Paris Motor Show, we looked into the future with Volkswagen. Visitors could interact with the showcar I.D. through an immersive virtual reality experience. All created and rendered for VR in realtime using the Unreal Engine, done by the INFECTED VR Team.
Immersion is key for us. We used a customized VR VIVE set to allow visitors to dive into our VR scene. Sensors track hands and gestures and enable users to navigate and control interactions far more naturally than regular controller devices do. Our VR experience runs on strong workstation power, based on the UNREAL game engine, with full use of NVIDIA 1080 performance.
Explore the new Volkswagen show car by walking right around the virtual car in a sunset scenery based in Barcelona with an immersive surrounding. The doors open and you are invited to test-drive the car and experience its autonomous drive logic. Sit back and relax.
