Creating a new type of drone

Together with director Thorsten Herken, we delivered on Delphys JP´s challenge by creating this seamless and unique event of dancing drones and beautiful projections.

Producing a believable drone was a great challenge for our VFX team – a huge team effort led to a flawless picture, thanks to beautiful modeling and shading, perfect animation and high-end detail in compositing.

At the same time the motion design department worked on the electric and combustion motor design and its look and feel. It was mostly created in After-effects and quite an ingenious workflow allowed to have these textures projected at any time from the real drone-position onto the surface of the shot car.
